Much has already been written about how the protesters initially got the wrong building.

Yet David Buick, a city analyst, has written into Sky News with the following:

“Those mindless idiots who smashed up Conservative Central Office yesterday are probably too bruised, boozed-up or ambivalent about [sic] wanting to know who owns Millbank Tower, but I thought the rest of you might be interested. Millbank Tower is actually owned by the Reuben brothers. They gave millions to build a school in North London which they named after their mother, they funded cancer units across Israel to treat all sections of society; Jews and Arabs, they further funded the largest children’s cancer clinic in Europe at Great Ormond Street, they raised funds for the relief of Haiti, they continue to support the Royal Marsden, The Princess Royal Trust for Carers, The Telegraph’s Spirit of Community Wards, The Prince’s Trust, The Royal Parks Fund, and they were once the largest foreign investors in Russia.”

“Neither of them went to university.”
